Unions Standing Up for Retirees

Communications Workers of America members from all over the nation attended the AT&T stockholders meeting in the Dallas Arboretum on April 24. Several hundred of them, who owned small amounts of stock, attended the meeting while several hundred others picketed outside.

Prominent among their signs and chants was the union's demand that the greedy corporate bosses keep their hands off retiree health care!

Ray Kramer and Linda Brown, both officers of CWA Local 6201 in Ft Worth, attended the shareholders' meeting.
