Retirees Work on Outreach

We concentrate on our outreach efforts. We did a big mailing and we have begun visiting all areas of the state.

We need to reach as many Texas retirees as possible as quickly as possible. See our Newsletter section and please add your ideas

The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans, fresh from battle over the retiree cuts advocated by many of the late "Super Committee," is preparing proposals for our state convention beginning at 9 AM on January 27 at the Omni Hotel in Austin.

Please click on our our newsletter section for our thoughts and e-mail your own for consideration.

Plan to come to the convention. It will end at 1 PM on January 27 just as the Texas Committee on Political Education begins its deliberations. Reservations for the 26th can be made at the Omni Hotel at the convention rate. Our members and activists will be able to remain as guests for the COPE convention. The Texas AFL-CIO banquet tickets are $25 each.

The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans convention is open to state retirees and anyone else who respects the American right to a decent retirement.

Leading up to the convention, during the convention, and after the convention, the Texas Alliance for Retired Americans will be working to defend the American right to a decent retirement! Join us!
